Quality of life and job burnout in kindergarten teachers

摘要 目的:了解幼儿教师的生活质量及其与职业倦怠的关系,为提升其生活质量水平和缓解职业倦怠提供参考。方法:在贵州省选取幼儿教师403名,用世界卫生组织生活质量测定简表中文版(WHOQOL-BREF)和M aslach职业倦怠量表(M BI)进行测查。结果:幼儿教师WHOQOL-BREF各维度得分均高于中值12;已婚幼儿教师的社会关系维度得分高于未婚幼儿教师[(14.4±0.2)vs.(13.7±0.2),P<0.05],市区幼儿教师的环境维度得分高于农村幼儿教师[(13.0±0.3)vs.(11.9±0.4),P<0.05]。WHOQOL-BREF的4个维度得分与M BI的3个因子得分均呈负相关(r=-0.15^-0.35,均P<0.01);回归分析显示,WHOQOL-BREF总分与情绪衰竭、成就感低落得分负向关联(β=-0.35、-0.22,均P<0.001);路径分析显示,情绪衰竭和成就感低落到WHOQOL-BREF各维度的路径系数均有统计学意义(路径系数为-0.13^-0.33,均P<0.001)。结论:幼儿教师生活质量居中上水平;已婚幼儿教师的社会关系满意度相对较高,市区幼儿教师的环境满意度相对较高;情绪衰竭与成就感低落可能是影响幼儿教师生活质量的重要因素。 Objective: To explore the characteristics of quality of life and its relation to job burnout in kinder- garten teachers, in order to provide reference for improving their quality of life and reducing job burnout. Methods: A total of 403 kindergarten teachers were selected in Guizhou Province. They were assessed with the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results: The factor scores of WHOQOL-BREF were higher than the median of 12. The married scored higher than the unmarried in the scores of social relationship factor [(14. 4 ± 0. 2) vs. (13.7 ± 0. 2), P 〈0. 05]. The scores of environment factor were higher in urban kindergarten teachers than in the rural ones [( 13.0 ± 0. 3) vs. ( 11.9 ± 0. 4), P 〈0. 05]. There were significant negative correlations between 4 factors of WHOQOL-BREF and 3 factors of MBI ( r = - 0. 15 - - 0. 35, Ps 〈 0. 01). Regression analysis showed that the total scores of WHOQOL-BREF was negatively associated with the scores of emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment (fl = -0. 35, -0. 22, Ps 〈 0. 001). Path analysis showed that there were paths from emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment to all factors of WHOQOL-BREF (path coefficients = -0. 13 - -0. 33, Ps 〈 0. 001 ). Conclusion: It suggests that kinder- garten teachers'quality of life is higher than the average level. The married have higher level of satisfaction of social relations and the urban kindergarten teachers have higher level of environmental satisfaction. Emotional exhaustionand reduced personal accomplishment may be related to quality of life in kindergarten teachers.
