摘要
语料库驱动的研究方法以真实的语料为出发点,以新的描写范畴来揭示语言使用的本质性特征,大型机读语料库的证据表明语言系统中的词汇与语法是一个整体。本文讨论了语料库语言学框架下词汇与语法的关系,以及型式和意义的紧密联系。语料库驱动的短语学研究认为词汇与语法具有一体性,型式和意义无法分割。型式是语法和词汇的交汇点,特定的型式与特定的意义相联系。作为描述英语的基本单位,型式是语料库驱动语言学的核心概念。
The corpus-driven approach advocates the use of authentic language data as the starting point of linguistic research, aiming to reveal the essence of language use with newly established linguistic categories. The development of computerized corpus has provided evidence for the wholeness of lexis and grammar. This paper explores the interdependence of lexis and grammar, and the close connection between pattern and meaning under the framework of corpus linguistics. The corpus-driven study of phraseology supports the wholeness of grammar and lexis, and proves that pattern and meaning are inseparable. Pattern is the meeting point of grammar and lexis in that the form of pattern is associated with a specified meaning. As the basic unit of language description, pattern is the core concept of the corpus-driven study of linguistics.
