摘要
当代英国后殖民作家用英语写作,他们都熟悉英国和自己本民族的文化传统,具有双边甚至多边文化综合的优势。他们具有强烈的历史意识,站在本民族的立场,描述本民族的生活,用文本的形式来演绎被歪曲的历史并表现出明显的对殖民主义的反抗意识。这种反抗是通过使用寓言体的叙述形式和对欧洲文学传统的颠覆表现的。同时,他们还表现出对人类共同命运与未来的关注,表现出探索人类文明之旅的努力。
Contemporary writers from former British colonies write with English. These post-colonial writers are all familiar with British and their own national cultural traditions, and possess bilateral or even multilateral cultural advantages. With strong historical consciousness, they depict their national lives from their national viewpoints. They show the distorted histories through their texts, expressing clear consciousness against colonialism, which is conveyed through allegoric narratives and anti-European literary traditions. Meanwhile, they also show great concern about the common fate and future of human beings, expressing their efforts to explore human cultures.
