When high-quality P2S5 and organic phosphorus derivations are prepared from yellow phosphorus, organic impurity must be<0 01% in yellow phosphorus. Because technic yellow phosphorus contain organic impurity in the range of about 0 03-0 3% , such impurity may have to be removed. The paper review methods of removing organic impurity from yellow phosphorus.
