摘要
比较海峡两岸两套初一英语教科书选文的主题,以及两岸两套高一英语教科书选文的多元文化类型,可知两岸英语教科书都呈现出多种多元文化类型,但侧重点明显不同。大陆英语教科书更凸显科技文化、世界其他国家的地域文化以及西方古典文化;台湾英语教科书则更凸显性别文化、本土文化、少数民族文化以及西方流行文化。
Comparing the themes of the articles in two English textbooks for Junior middle school students, as well as the multicultural types reflected by articles in two English textbooks for Senior middle school students in Taiwan and China's Mainland, we drew the conclusion that English textbooks across the Taiwan strait all include articles of multicultural types, albeit with obviously different focus. Textbooks in China's Mainland lay greater emphasis on technological culture, geographical cultures of other countries in the world, and the Western classical culture. Textbooks in Taiwan, however, focus more on gender differences, Taiwan Residents culture, cultures of ethnic groups, as well as the Western pop culture.
