摘要
在汉英两种语言中表示颜色的词汇很丰富,颜色词的概念意义大致相同,但由于各民族在地理历史、语言文化、宗教信仰以及社会制度等方面存在着很大差异,颜色词的内涵意义在两种语言中也存在很大的差异。通过比较分析中英文两种语言中的红色、黄色、黑色、白色、绿色、蓝色六种基本颜色词的内涵意义,英语学习者可以更准确生动地翻译颜色词,有效地进行跨文化交际。
Color words are abundant both in Chinese and English.Their conceptual meaning is about the same.Due to the great differences in geography,history,culture,religion,and social system in China and England,the connotative meanings on Chinese and English color words are very different from each other.By comparing and analyzing the connotative meaning of the basic color words,which are red,yellow,black,white,green and blue,the color words can be translated more accurately and vividly and cross-cultural communication can be operated effectively.
