摘要
近代以来,随着中国铁路的出现和延展,渐次兴起并不断发展的城市屡见不鲜。其中,因京奉铁路通车设站而受益颇多的秦皇岛即是一个明显的案例。通过考察京奉铁路在该城市崛起和发展过程中的具体"作为",可以在一定意义上揭示铁路在近代中国城市变迁中的重要作用及意义。
In modern China, railways help with gradual growth of cities, such as Qinhuangdao, that appears owing to the construction of the Peking-Mukden railways. This study is significant in revealing the importance of building railways in relation to historical changes of Chinese cities.
