摘要
晚清铁路的开通,不仅大大便利了经济活动,更使人们的出行发生了革命性的变化。无铁路的时代,所有远行者都会慨叹“行路难”,有了快捷、舒适的铁路以后,徐世昌等官员的出行,几如家常便饭。徐世昌等官员对铁路的利用,一方面极大便利了政务,他可以随时到北京周边检阅军队、查验铁路工程、考察并改变造币厂的地点,甚至到较远的东三省考察;另一方面与袁世凯的频繁会见,巩固了他与袁世凯的盟友关系。可以说铁路的利用直接影响了晚清政局。进一步,为适应铁路的快节奏,人们必须改变时间观念和生活节奏。因此,铁路的利用改变了官员的政务模式,并改变了人们的生活。
The opening of the railway in the late Qing Dynasty not only benefited economic activities,but also revolutionized people’s travel mode.In the era before the invention of railway,all long-distance travelers would sigh that it was difficult to travel.After the opening of the fast and comfortable railway,the travel of Xu Shichang and other officials became very easy.On the one hand,Xu and other officials’use of the railway has greatly facilitated the government affairs.He could go to the neighboring areas of Beijing at any time to review his troops,check the railway projects,inspect and change the location of the mint factory,and even go to the three Northeast Provinces.On the other hand,Xu’s frequent meetings with Yuan Shikai consolidated their alliance.It can be said that the utilization of the railway directly affected the political situations of the late Qing Dynasty.At the same time,in order to adapt to the high speed of the railway,people must change their previous concept of time and pace of life.Thus,the opening of the railway has not only changed the mode of officials dealing with government affairs,but also changed people’s life.
