摘要
通过词汇量测试卷和词汇策略问卷,调查非英语专业大学生四级阶段的词汇量与词汇策略现状,分析男女生词汇量差异及四级考试通过者与未通过者的词汇量差异,以及词汇量与词汇策略的相关性。研究结果表明:学生在四级阶段的词汇量没能达到《大学英语课程教学要求》中规定的一般要求;女生的词汇量显著高于男生的词汇量;四级考试已通过的学生的词汇量显著高于四级考试未通过的学生的词汇量;词汇量与大部分的词汇策略呈正相关。
This paper investigates the vocabulary size and vocabulary strategies of non-English majors at CET-4 level through vocabulary test and vocabulary strategies questionnaire.The paper compares the difference of vocabulary size between male students and female students,between students who have passed CET-4 and students who haven't,and analyzes the correlation of vocabulary size with vocabulary strategies.The results show that students’ vocabulary size is below the general requirement by College English Curriculum Requirements.Female students’ vocabulary size is significantly higher than that of the male students’,and the vocabulary size of students who have passed CET-4 is significantly higher than that of those who haven't.Vocabulary size is positively correlated with most of the vocabulary strategies.
