摘要
英语新闻标题的语用特点表现在语法和用词等方面,英语新闻标题的翻译质量在一定程度上依靠对其语用特点的把握:从上下文把握原作者智慧的语用手段及其标题内容展现的措辞方式,从而实现英语新闻标题翻译过程中发掘其特点、强化其可读性、达到读者充分接受的三重目的。
English news headlines have their pragmatic characteristics in the aspects regarding grammar and word- ing. The translation of English news headlines depends to a certain extent on the understanding of their pragmatic characteristics, including the exactly contextual understanding of their pragmatics for the expression of the wit and the purpose of the wording in the content of the headlines so as to achieve a proper consideration to the characteristics, to enhance the readability,and to meet the demands of the readers＇ acceptability.
