摘要
论述语言文化学的核心在某个程度上可以说是词汇文化学的问题,英汉褒贬词汇文化内涵的差异反射出民族文化的社会性和忌讳性。从跨文化的角度,主要分析动物类、色彩类和政治类英汉褒贬义词汇的文化内涵,并从构词法的角度对部分英汉词汇褒贬色彩做出探讨。最后,简述英汉词汇褒贬义文化内涵差异对英语词汇教学的启示。
The core of linguistic culturology, to some degree, is a matter of ethopsemantics. The sociality and the effable of Chinese and English cultures are mirrored in the different cultural connotations of their commendatory and pejorative words. From a cross-cultural perspective, the article mainly makes an analysis of appreciate and pejorative cultural connotations of English and Chinese vocabulary in the fields of animal, color and politics. And it also probes into some appreciate and pejorative English and Chinese words fi＇om the aspect of word formation. Finally, some implications for English vocabulary teaching and learning are provided.
