摘要
To investigate therapeutic effects of Mental-Physical Relaxation (MPR) for patients with hypertension. Methods: Forty cases (male 20,female 20,age 62.5±8.1 yrs) in stage Ⅰ or Ⅱ essential hypertension (EH) were treated with MPR for 4 weeks. The clinical effects were assessed by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS), Type A Behavior Scale and blood pressure. Results: As compared to pre-treatment status, all measures show significant improvement after treatment (p<0.05). Conclusion: MPR produced significant therapeutic effects on lowering BP, as well as reducing anxiety and depression.
