This paper analyses and studies the chemical and physical properties of the materials used, the structures of forged steel brake disc and sintered brake pads as well as the friction braking characteristics. It concludes that the developed forged steel brake disc and sintered brake pads meet the requirements for 250 km/h high speed passenger vehicles.
