By analyzing classification, working principle of positioning and clamping, empirical formula of clamping torque and using principle of clamping elements of Kostyrka clamping elements for slideways, application characteristics of Kostyrka clamping elements in rotary functional components of machine tools were introduced in detail, which can provides a valuable reference for other machine tools factorys in China to design rotary functional components.
