基于磁流体与长周期光纤光栅的磁场传感研究 被引量:6

Study of Magnetic Field Sensing Based on Magnetic Fluid and Long Period Fiber Grating

摘要 长周期光纤光栅是一种新型的无源光纤器件,对外界折射率敏感的特性使其可作为一种理想的光纤敏感元件。而磁流体具有明显的磁光效应,即具有在外界磁场作用下其折射率发生改变的特性。将磁流体与长周期光纤光栅相结合作为传感探头,提出了一种全新的磁场测量方法,并对其进行了深入的理论分析和初步的实验验证。实验结果表明,所提出的基于磁流体与长周期光纤光栅的磁场传感方法可以用于磁场和电流的测量。 The long period fiber grating which can be used as an ideal fiber optical sensitive element is a late model of passive optical components.It is sensitive to the refractive index surrounding its cladding.The magnetic fluid has an obvious magnetic-optical effect,in another word,its refractive index will be changed by an external magnetic field.Sensing head based on both magnetic fluid and long period fiber grating has been produced.A new sensing method for measuring magnetic field has been presented.The principle of long period fiber grating's refractive index has been deeply analyzed,and the experiment which has proved the principle has been done.The obtained results show that magnetic field sensing based on magnetic fluid and long period fiber grating could be applicable for magnetic field and current sensing.
