摘要
本工作对几种陶瓷材料Vickers 硬度的压痕尺寸效应进行了研究,证实了经典的Meyer 方程可以很好地描述实验数据,但这一方程无助于对压痕尺寸效应物理本质的认识. 基于能量平衡考虑或新近发展起来的试样比例阻力(PSR) 模型得到的另一个半经验公式,只能对在一个较窄的荷载范围内测得的实验数据作出准确描述. 本文提出了一个新的半经验公式用以描述所观察到的压痕尺寸效应,并就这一新公式的物理意义进行了简要的讨论.
The indentation size effect (ISE) in the measurement of Vickers hardness in several ceramics are examined in this paper. It is confirmed that the classical Meyer′s law may offer a proper description for the experimental data, but little physical implication of the ISE can be obtained from this empirical equation. The semi_empirical equation deduced based on the energy_balance consideration or the recently developed “proportional specimen resistance(PSR)” model can only be used to describe the experimental data measured in a narrow range of applied load. A new semiempirical equation is proposed for the description of the observed ISE. The physical meaning of this new equation is also discussed briefly.
