摘要
自从以Mona Baker为代表的西方翻译理论家提出翻译普遍性假设之后,对于翻译中是否存在普遍特性的探讨方兴未艾。语料库语言学的兴起为大规模的描述性翻译研究提供了工具和范式。基于对自建语料库中的政治文本英译的研究表明:政治文本英译中存在明晰化、规范化和平整化的倾向,而简约化倾向则不明显。
The research into hypothesis of translation universals has been developing fast after it was proposed by some western translation theorists led by Mona Baker.The flourishing of corpus linguistics provides impetus for further development of descriptive translation studies.Based on a self-compiled corpora of political texts,the present paper is intended to demonstrate that explicitation,normalization and leveling-out exist in the English translation of Chinese political texts,whereas simplification does not exist.
