摘要
林语堂的英文作品《京华烟云》包含了部分中国诗词佳句的翻译,可视为翻译实践的范本。以林语堂的翻译思想为视角,探析诗词的翻译,有助于了解林语堂英文作品的翻译特点及其传播中国文化的有效途径。
Tbere are some classical poems or verses, translated by LIN Yu-tang in his Moment in Peking, which would be regarded as good examples in translation practice. The poem translation is analyzed from the perspective of LIN＇s translation theory, which will be helpful for us to learn the gist of his thought of translation and his effective ways in introducing Chinese culture to the western world.
