On the basis of the HAZOP(Hazard and Operability Study) analysis in the processes and operating procedures,potential unsafety and operability problems in the compressor station of China-Asia gas pipeline were identified.The selected equipments and devices were made to match the design intention,and the consequence of the hazard was reduced to a minimum.The procedures,requirements,and unit partition of HAZOP were described in detail.The main problems in HAZOP analysis and the corresponding technical solutions were also summarized.HAZOP analysis would optimize the safety and operability of the system,and guide the detailed design.
