An Experimental Study on the Source of the SNARC Effect

摘要 关于SNARC效应的起源这个重要问题一直存在分歧。本研究通过两个实验探讨SNARC效应的形成机制。结果发现:(1)无论是横向还是纵向学习条件下,都出现了SNARC效应。(2)只有延缓测试下才会出现SNARC效应,而且学习遍数越多效应越小。这有力证实了SNARC效应是后天学习和经验的结果,而且空间表象的策略在其中起重要作用。 The source of the SNARC effect is an important question which remains unresolved.This study explored the formation mechanism of SNARC through two experiments.The results showed that(1) There are significant SNARC effects in both horizontal and vertical learning conditions.(2) The SNARC effect was found only in a delayed test condition and became less powerful with more learning.These results indicated that the source of the SNARC effect is learning and experience,and the mapping strategy of spatial imaging played an important role in it.
