Electrocapillary migration of copper droplets in the FeO-CaO-SiO_2 molten slag

摘要 在外加电场作用下,悬浮在液态冶金渣中的金属或硫化物液滴会受到外加电场的影响向某一极迁移,利用这一现象可以实现金属和渣相的分离,提高渣中有价金属的回收率。通过在高温FeO-CaO-SiO_2熔渣上施加外电场的方法,研究了金属铜滴在该渣系中电毛细迁移的方向以及影响金属铜滴迁移的因素。结果表明:在该渣系中,金属铜滴的电毛细作用使铜滴始终向阴极移动,并聚集沉降在坩埚底部,金属铜的回收率可达53.4%~55.67%;外加电压和渣中铜含量是影响铜滴电毛细迁移的主要因素,随着二者的升高,铜的回收率也随之提高。 The metal or sulfide droplets in the slag will migrate to one electric pole under the effect of applied electric field. This phenomenon could be used to separate metal from slag and to enhance the recovery of valuable metal droplets in slag. The electrocapillary migration direction and influence factors of copper droplets in the FeO-CaO-SiO2 molten slag were investigated when the external electric field is applied on the slag. The results show that copper droplets in the slag move to the cathode under the driving of electrocapillary force. Then they are gathered and settled in the crucible bottom and the recovery rate of copper is up to 53.4-55.67%.The applied external voltage and copper content in the slag are major factors to affect copper droplet migration. The copper recovery will enhance when applied voltage and copper content are increased.
