摘要
产品数据管理（ＰＤＭ）技术由于具有帮助企业管理与控制企业数据并缩短产品上市时间的强大功能而受到国外大中型制造企业的广泛重视，它可提供现代企业信息管理所必需的数据管理、配置管理与过程管理等工具，因而在ＣＩＭＳ、并行工程等先进制造系统中得到广泛应用。本文重点阐述了ＰＤＭ技术的产生背景、基本概念、体系结构、主要功能、应用领域和主要供应商等内容，研究了利用ＰＤＭ技术帮助企业可解决的相关问题和实现方法。
Product Data Management(PDM) technology is rapidly gaining popularity for its ability to help manufacturing enterprises get control of their data and reduce times to market. It can offer the functions of data management,configuration management and process management which are necessary to advanced manufacturing systems such as CIMS and Concurrent Engineering(CE). The paper focuses on PDM's evolution, basic concept, system architecture, main functions, application fields and main vendors etc. Finally, some implementation approaches and noticeable problems are addressed.
