叶黄素及玉米黄素与老年性黄斑变性的研究进展 被引量:7

摘要 老年性黄斑变性(age-related macular degeneration,AMD)是目前使老年人视力缺损和致盲的主要疾病之一,其病因欠明,治疗效果不理想,预防亦不满意。AMD发生的危险因素及发病机制与其疾病的预防、治疗密切相关,流行病学调查的数据显示抗氧化剂在降低AMD的危险性中可能起了一定的作用,当前很多研究表明,叶黄素和玉米黄素作为抗氧化剂在降低AMD发生的危险性和延缓AMD疾病进程中起着重要作用。现将叶黄素及玉米黄素与AMD的研究概况综述如下。 Age-related macular degeneration(AMD) is one of the most common causes of visual impairment and blindness in aged people.Its etiology is poorly understood,there are currently no effective treatment strategies for most patients with AMD,and prevention is not satisfactory too.The risk factors and pathogenesis of AMD have close relationship with its prevention and treatment.Epidemiologic data implicate that antioxidants may play a role in reducing the risk of AMD.In recent years,many studies have shown lutein and zeaxanthin as antioxidants can reduce the risk of AMD and delay its progression.This article reviews the recent studies of effects of lutein and zeaxanthin on AMD.
