摘要
大学英语教学的根本目的是培养学生的跨文化交际能力,这已成为外语界的共识。语言与文化相辅相成的关系,决定了文化教学是语言教学的重要内容和重要手段。然而现行的大学英语教学中存在严重的文化失衡现象,导致学习者大量的跨文化交际失败。因此应在大学英语文化教学中,利用各种教学手段加大中国文化的输入,实现中西文化的兼容并蓄,在提高学生跨文化交际能力的同时,实现中华文化的传承。
The fundamental goal of college English teaching is to develop the students＇ communicative competence in cross--euhural communication. The complementary relationship between language and culture makes culture teaching play an important role in language teaching. However, there is a severe cultural imbalance which leads to iguoranee of Chinese culture and failure in cross-cultural communication. Therefore, it is necessary to enlarge the input of Chinese culture in college English teaching to make balanced development between Western culture and Chinese culture, which will not only improve the students＇ inter-cultural communicative competence, but also pass down Chinese culture.
