S:natural gas is a high quality energy resource known to all and has a certain position within chemical industry’s raw materials,it possesses a very vast market.In this paper,the markets of the gas used for family,commerce and industry (including power plant)are introduced and,from the consuming structure of gas in the world,it is indicated that the quantity of the gas used as chemical industry’s raw material fails to reach 10% of total gas consumed quantity.Main gas consumers’market is the fuel gas .The gas transmission,supply and distribution system which provides the market with gas is expensive and also a very important downstream engineering,not only gas chemical industry being the downstream engineering.The article also analyzes the current gas consumers’market in China and indicates that the current gas consumers’markets with best prospect are those for family and commerces.The two large markets are lasting and stable and for which the users are willing to pay,having an obvious economic benefit.Because the two large markets are almost located in city or densely populated area,the users are many but the gas quantity consumed by each user is small,therefore to expand these two large markets is more complex and more difficult than to directly supply the gas to a large power palnt or a large chemical plant,which,however,may be completely realized through the medium of market cooperation.
