摘要
美国犹太文学同美国华裔文学、非裔文学一样,是美国文学的重要一支。犹太作家们在犹太与美国的双重语境中,从犹太民族特有的历史传统中汲取养分,创造出了具有鲜明特色的美国犹太文学,为美国文学的繁荣与发展作出了不可磨灭的贡献。作为一个流亡两千多年、并一直生存在异族控制中的民族,犹太人遭受了人类社会所有的苦难。因此,受难、流浪与身份问题成了美国犹太文学特有的创作主题。
Along with the Chinese - American literature and African - American literature, Jewish - American literature constitutes part of American literature. In both the Jewish and American contexts, Jewish writers drew on the Jewish history and created a Jewish -American literature with its own features, contributing considerably to the American literature. During the past two thousand years of exile and the long existence under other nations＇ control, the Jews suffered a lot. Therefore,it is inevible that suffering, wandering and assimilation have become the distinct themes of Jewish - American literature.
