Novel current sensing circuit for monolithic Buck power management

摘要 电流检测是采用电流模式PWM控制方案的DC-DC变换器中最重要的技术之一。分析了目前电流检测电路的优点和不足,基于TSMC0.18μm工艺,设计了一款高精度的电流检测电路,该电路不需要运算放大器,从而简化了电路结构,降低了设计的复杂度,而且有很好的线性度,其采样率不会随着温度和输入电压的改变而改变,实现了高精度的检测。 Current-sensing is one of the most important technologies in current-mode PWM controlled DC-DC converters. This paper presents several kinds of commonly used current sensing circuits, the advantages and disadvantages of the different current sensing techniques are analyzed. Then a novel current-sensing circuit implemented in a TSMC0.18μm process is proposed. This circuit has the advantage of simple topology, high precision, And, more importantly, its sampling rate is constant when the temperature and input voltage change. It realizes a high precision current' sensing circuit.
