进入21世纪,南通港具有良好的优势和发展机遇,但也面临着严峻的挑战和威胁。从内部环境来看,其优势在于优越的区位条件、港口集疏运条件较好、港口历史悠久等方面;其发展的劣势在于大型深水泊位配备不足,码头结构、港口规模、港口装备不适应竞争以及缺乏资金等方面。从外部环境来看,南通港发展的机遇在于国家宏观经济的发展,政府的大力支持,世界航运市场的发展等方面;其面临的挑战和威胁来自外部的竞争激烈、自身发展空间有限、腹地经济发展水平滞后等方面。南通港在今后的发展过程中应扬长避短,克服自身的不足,发挥自身的优势,尽快从大港走向强港。
In the 21st century, Nantong pert takes better development opportunity and encounters fierce challenges. From inner environment, its advantages lie in excellent location condition, better centralized and dispersed shipping conditions, long-established pert, etc. But its disadvantages are lack of large deepwater berths, unsuitable for competition in wharf structure, port scale and equipment, and lack of capitals, and the like. From outside environment, its development opportunity relies on the development of national macro-economy and shipping market all over the world, government＇s support, and so forth; meanwhile, the challenge it faced comes from fierce competition at home and abroad, limited development space, backward economic levels in hinterland development, and so on. Hence, in future development, Nantong pert should take its advantages and overcome its disadvantages to develop the large port to powerful port.
