Full use of natural tidal channel for construction of Yangkou deep-water port and industrial base along Jiangsu coast

摘要 通过1979~2001年5次深入海陆交互带的调查研究,获知,黄海辐射沙脊群的烂沙—黄沙洋潮流通道,是承袭晚更新世末(3万年前)古长江河谷而发育的。由于强大潮流动力的往复作用,该水道稳定地保持着16~25m的水深,可行驶10万~20万吨级海轮。沙脊群与潮流通道组合是苏北淤泥平原海岸带宝贵的天然港口资源。建设深水港既可沟通苏北农业基地与外海的直接联系,也会促进长江三角洲北翼临海的能源、工农、商贸经济带发展,为江苏在21世纪经济持续高速发展做出重要贡献。 According to five times' investigation along the coastal belt of Jiangsu Province from 1979 to 2001, the Lansha-Huangshayang tidal channel along the radial sand ridges of the Yellow Sea originates from the branch valley of the Yangtze River during the late Pleistocene epoch. Owing to the powerful dynamic force of tidal currents in the channel, the water depth there reaches 16~25?m, and a natural deep-water channel is formed, which is suitable for 100~200?thousand ton ship navigation. The combination of the sand ridges and the channel is a valuable natural port resource in the coastal zone of the north Jiangsu ooze plain. The construction of a deep-water port there can not only join the agricultural base of north Jiangsu Province to the open sea, but also promote the development of power, industry, agriculture, and economy in the north flank of the Yangtze River Delta, providing a base for sustainable development of Jiangsu economy in the 21st century.
