17 Kinds of thermoplastic Polymer matrices used for preparing the ion sensi-tive membranes are introduced. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a popular polymer matrix, and the possible alternatives to PVC such as polyimide and polyacrylate are discussed in detail.
