摘要
有效教学是符合客观教学规律的教学,是有效果、有效益、有效率的教学;教师素质的高低决定教学有效与否。有关有效教学的研究成果给大学外语教学提供了很好的启示:大学外语教学应该着眼于社会,以高效率满足社会对外语的实际需求为导向,否则便是低效、甚至无效教学。为此,有必要更新教师的教学理念,改善其知识结构,培养其教学效能感,增强其教学反思能力,从而提高其执教水平。
Effective instruction is defined as the one which is given in conformity with the objective laws of instruction, and which succeeds in efficiently promoting students' study and achieving instructional goals catering to the needs of both the society and students ; the quality of teachers is the most crucial factor affecting the instructional effectiveness. The research findings of effective instruction have significant implications for foreign language teaching, namely that it should he oriented to satisfying the practical demands of the society cost-effectively; otherwise it is bound to be ineffective. Teachers should, accordingly, update their notions regarding teaching and learning, improve the knowledge structure, cultivate the sense of teaching effectiveness, be more reflective on their own teaching, and thus become more competent in teaching.
