摘要
采用聚丙烯接枝马来酸酐(PP-g-MAH)作为相容剂,通过熔融插层法制备了具有阻燃性能的聚丙烯/有机蒙脱土(PP/OMMT)纳米复合材料。考察了相容剂、蒙脱土的用量等对纳米复合材料的阻燃性能的影响,并用X射线衍射(XRD)、透射电镜(TEM)和热重分析(TG)等对材料进行了表征。TEM照片和XRD结果,表明PP-g-MAH能够很好地改善OMMT与PP的相容性,OMMT能在基体中达到剥离。当OMMT和PP-g-MAH质量分数分别为5%和10%时,热释放速率峰值(PHRR)和平均热释放速率(MHRR)分别为491 kW/m2和286 kW/m2,比纯PP降低了42%和30%,TG分析表明PP/PP-g-MAH/OMMT纳米复合材料具有了更高的热稳定性。
Polypropylene/organophilic montmorillonite (PP/OMMT) nanocomposite by melt intercalation using maleic anhydride grafted PP (PP-g-MAH) as compatilizer. The effects of PP- g-MAH and OMMT content on flame retardancy of PP were studied. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), TEM and thermogravimetry (TG). The XRD results and TEM photographs show (-)MMT can be exfoliated in matrix, suggesting the compatibility of OMMT and PP can be remarkably improved by PP-g-MAH. When the content OMMT and PP- g-MAH content is 5%and 10% respectively, flame retardant PP with peak heat release rate (PI-tRR) of 491 kW/m^2and mean heat release rate (M[IRR) of 286 kW/m^2was obtained, which is 42%and 30% lower than that of PP respectively. The TG result shows PP/PP-g-MAH/ OMMT nanocomposite has belter thermal stability than PP.
