摘要
科技英语翻译中,由于英汉两种语言词法和句法的差异,使其表达方式不尽相同。翻译时为了使译文合乎汉语的习惯和表达规律,意思更加明确清晰,从意义、修辞和句法上考虑,根据上下文按照某些原则在译文中适当增添一些虽无其词但有其意的词,从而达到源语与译入语的和谐与完美。
Due to differences between English and Chinese, words may necessarily be added in translating scientific texts from English into Chinese so as to make the meaning explicit and the language smooth and idiomatic. Such amplification may be required syntactically as well as contextually.
