摘要
词汇衔接是实现语篇连贯的重要衔接机制之一。本文依据衔接理论,结合科技英语语篇实例,分析词汇手段衔接语篇的功能,进而探讨了四种常用的翻译策略:复现源语衔接手段、重写源语衔接手段、增加源语衔接手段和省略源语衔接手段。
Lexical cohesion is an important cohesive device. Based on cohesion theory, this paper illustrates various lexical cohesive devices in EST discourse. Four different translation strategies are offered to help readers achieve better understanding of the relationship between lexical meanings and the communicative intention of EST discourse.
