During Dec.10-21, 2006, Prof. Sun Jiaguang, Vice President of NSFC, led an NSFC delegation visiting Brazil and Egypt, on a mission to learn fiver and ocean engineering of the two countries and to explore possible cooperative channels. The delegation visited the Federal Rio University and several laboratories under it, the Itaipu Dam in Foz Iguacu, the Iguacu Municipality, the Egyptian Water Center and 6 institutes under it. On Dec. 12, the delegation visited the Federal Rio University and held discussions with Prof. Jose Luiz Fontes Monteiro, Provost of the University.
