摘要
文学翻译不是在真空中进行的,作为一种跨语言跨文化的交际活动,文学翻译受到社会政治经济文化等因素的影响和制约,是赞助人或译者为达到自己的某种政治经济目标对原作进行的重写,因而具有强烈的目的性和功利主义色彩。本文以中国文学翻译史的三个时段为例,分析了文学翻译在不同的历史语境下折射出的不同的功利主义倾向。
Literary translation has never been done in vacuum. As a trans-lingual and trans-cultural activity, literary translation is constrained by the political, economic and cultural circumstances of society. It is a kind of rewriting of the source language text by the patron or the translator for the fulfilment of his political agenda or out of economic motives. This paper analyzes the different features of utilitarianism in China＇s literary translation in three periods.
