摘要
诠释美德的具体含义及其德目之间的关系是美德伦理学研究的重要或核心内容。德性伦理在现代社会生活中对人性提升、人的自我完善仍具有重要价值,相对于公民道德、制度化规则,美德伦理具有高尚性、自觉性的特点。诠释美德的工作不仅对美德伦理学研究有重要的学术价值,而且有着更为迫切的实践意义。对现代人应具有的人类基本美德的概括诠释,应以某种普遍的、恒常持久的历史标准以及现代伦理精神对现代人格的要求为衡量取舍标准。
Specifying the meaning of virtues and the relationship among the moral items is the kernel part of virtual ethics which still plays a significa nt role in raising human nature, and attaining self-improvement in modern life. Compared with citizen morality and institutionalized norms, virtual ethics is characterized by nobility and spontaneity. Explanation of virtues is of urgent practical significance as well as of important academic value to the study of virtual ethics. However, to define the basic virtues of modern humans, general and longlasting criteria and modern ethics should both be taken into account.
