中华民族是一个有着优良道德传统的国家,是一个以文明古国和礼仪之邦屹立于世界民族之林的东方大国。中华传统美德是中国道德文明的优秀成果,它以“自强不息”和“厚德载物”为核心,体现在个人修身美德、家庭生活美德、职业生活美德、公共生活美德和国家民族美德等方面。中华传统美德具有民族凝聚和民族团结的功能,精神激励和支撑的功能,价值整合和价值导向的功能。这种传统美德,是奠基干道德丰富性基础之上的道德统一性,是根植于价值多元论基础之上的价值一元论,是对多种价值取向的一种价值导向。它塑造了中国人博大、精进、宽厚、务实的道德心灵和精神风貌,是中国文明对于世界的伟大贡献。

It has the function of uniting, motivating, supporting and orientating. This kind of ethic, is the unity of ethic based on the ethical variety, is the monism originated from plural ethic. It is a great contribution made by China for the world.
