图书情报工作面临着信息高速公路的挑战 ,正进行着一场巨大变革。实施全球信息目录计划与电子图书馆计划给图书情报专业教育带来了深刻变化。从课程设置的变化、教学内容与方法的更新到学科含义的演变都体现了 2 1世纪图书情报教育的特点。
Library and information Services are faced with the challenges of the inf ormation superhighway and are undergoing great changes.The project of a worldwid e information catalog and electronic lib raries is being put into effect, and it brings deepgoing changes in the library and information science education.From t he curriculum,contents and methods of th e traditional courses to the essential m eaning of the subject, all have initiate d a change representing the characterist ics of library and information science e ducation in the 21st century.
