Expression of VEGF-C and LYVE-1 mRNA in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinomas

摘要 目的探讨血管内皮生长因子 C(vascular endothelium growth factor-C,VEGF-C)与淋巴管内皮透明质酸盐受体1(lymphatic vascular endothelial HA receptor-1,LYVE-1)mRNA 在喉鳞癌组织中的表达及其与喉鳞癌临床病理特征之间的关系。方法采用逆转录聚合酶链式反应技术,对40例新鲜喉鳞癌标本及10例癌旁正常喉组织中的 VEGF-C、LYVE-1 mRNA 表达进行检测。结果 VEGF-C mRNA 在喉鳞癌组织与癌旁正常喉组织中的表达,差异有非常显著性(P<0.01);颈淋巴结转移组 VEGF-C mRNA 表达高于无颈淋巴结转移组,差异有显著性(P<0.05);喉鳞癌组织 VEGF-C mRNA 表达与病变部位、T 分期、病理分级未显示有关;喉鳞癌组织未显示有意义的 LYVE-1 mRNA 表达。结论喉鳞癌颈淋巴结转移可能与 VEGF-C mRNA 表达水平有关。 Purpose To observe the expression of VEGF-C and LYVE-1 mRNA in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and to explore its relationship with clinicopathological features. Methods RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of VEGF-C and LYVE-1 mRNA in the laryngeal squamous carcinoma tissue (40 cases) and the normal adjacent laryngeal tissues( 10 cases). Results There was significant difference in VEGF-C mRNA expression between the carcinoma and adjacent tissues ( P 〈 0.01 ). The expression of VEGF-C mRNA in the tissue of the cervical metastasis group was higher than that in the non cervical metastasis group( P 〈 0.05). There were no correlations between expression of VEGF-C mRNA and tumor location, T stage or differentiation of tumor cells. No significant expression of LYVE-1 mRNA was found in the laryngeal squamous carcinoma tissues. Conclusion The expression of VEGF-C mRNA in the laryngeal squamous carcinoma is related to neck lymph node metastasis. The high expression of VEGF-C mRNA is one of the important biologic characteristics in laryngeal squamous carcinomas, which can be used as a reference index to evaluate neck lymph node metastasis.
