Grafting Methyl Methacrylate onto Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Tri-Block Copolymer in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

摘要 利用超临界CO2作为甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)的溶剂和苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物(SBS)的溶胀剂,通过自由基聚合制备了MMA与SBS的接枝聚合物(SBS-g-MMA)。MMA的接枝率达26.3%。考察了单体浓度、引发剂用量、反应时间以及反应压力等因素对反应的影响。用FT-IR、GPC、DSC以及SEM等分析方法对样品进行了表征,结果表明接枝后产物的相对分子质量明显增大,接枝后产物的玻璃化温度有所上升。 Grafting methyl methacrylate (MMA) onto styrene-butadiene-styrene tri-block copolymer (SBS) was carried out by free radical polymerization using supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent of MMA and swelling agent for SBS. The grafting ratio reached to 26.3%. The effects of reaction conditions, such as monomer concentration, initiator concentration, supercritical CO2 pressure and the reaction time on the grafting ratio were studied. The products were characterized by FT-IR, GPC, DSC and SEM. GPC data show that the molecular weight of SBS-g-MMA is higher than that of SBS. DSC testing indicates that the glass transition temperature of SBS-g-MMA is higher than that of SBS.
