摘要
委婉语的构造和语用原则是委婉语研究中一个较突出的方面。但这些原则首先在构造和语用定位方面存在着问题,其次,除得体原则和广义的自我保护原则外,其余均不能作为委婉语的语用原则,而是部分委婉语的语用功能或委婉语使用者的语用目的。
Study of the principles of euphemism is one of the focuses in euphemism studies. The serious problems of the pragmatic principles are discussed in detail. It is argued that the appropriate principle is a general principle being followed by all conversations. The self-protective principle only belongs to euphemism. Other principles are not the pragmatic principles but the functions of euphemism or the purposes of the speaker. The pragmatic principle should be the broad sense self--protective principle.
