摘要
语言与政治有着十分紧密的联系 ,以至有的语言学家断言“政治就是语言 ,同时 ,语言也是政治。”语言与政治的这种紧密联系明显地反映在政治语篇上。政治语篇包括演讲、标语、宣言及政治家回答记者提问等方面 ,这些构成语篇对比研究中的语域对比语料。Beard在 The L anguage of Politics一书中 ,运用语篇分析的方法对英语的政治语篇进行了综合性分析 ,演绎出一些英语政治语篇的特点。本文在对英汉政治语篇中“层递”和“代词运用”进行对比分析后 。
Politics and language are so closely related that,as Lakoff put it,politics is language and,at the same time,language is politics.The close relation between politics and language is revealed in the political discourse,which includes political speeches,slogans and posters,manifestoes,and politicians answering questions.Beard,in his newly published book,The Language of Politics,analyzes the English politcal discourse by means of discourse analysis and points out some of the features of the English political discourse.This article first makes a contrastive study of the English political discourse and the Chinese political discourse.Then it applies the critical discourse analysis to the English and Chinese political discourse,making an attempt to see how political discourse demonstrate the different personality of west and east politicians.
