Abstract In tais paper, a streamline-diffusion F.E.M. for time-dependetlt linear convection dominated-diffusion problems is constructed, according to the range of spacetbo F.E. mesh parameter h, two choices for artificial diffusion parameter δ are proposed, and for the corresponding computation schemes the stability and errorestimates in suitable norms are established.
