摘要
分形图象压缩方法是一种利用图象自相似特性的新型图象压缩方法。本文介绍一种基于多项式近似的静止图象分形压缩方法，利用它对标准图象“Ｌｅｎａ”进行压缩。
Fractal image compressing is a novel image compression method, exploiting self similarity of the image. In this paper, the authors describe a static fractal image compressing approach based on polynomial approximation. A satisfactory result is achieved when this approach is used to compress the standard image 'Lena'.
