摘要
选择金属材料强度中研究较少的应变率效应及形变强化后的表面强度问题为主要内容，介绍西安交通大学近年来利用自制仪器，拓宽实验范围，观察到的一些新的现象。
This paper presents an overview on some new approaches of the mechanical behaviors of metallic materials. The strain rate effect on the bulk material and the surface characteristic by mechanical treatment are emphasised. Self made equipment helped us to discover those new mechanical aspects which had not revealed before.
