摘要
美国甜玉米原产于美国，1985年引入宝鸡县试种，1987年引种到千阳草业实验站。连续5年的试验研究表明，美国甜玉米植株高大，最高达3．27m，乳熟期果穗产量达1176kg／亩．茎叶量为4137kg／亩。麦茬地播种，10月上旬时地上生物量达3868．6kg／亩。美国甜玉米籽实含糖总量占其干物质量的22.46－27．36％，蛋白质含量为11．78％；乳熟期时秸秆中蛋白质含量为8.39％。它适于青贮，家畜喜食，是一种很有发展前途的经济与饲料兼用作物。
Arnerican sweet corn is originated in The United States. It was introduced in Bao ji County in 1985, and was introdticed in china Pratacutural Shaanxi Qianyang Research station in 1987. Five ycars research shows that The height of the corn is as high as 3. 27 meters. and fresh ear out -put is 1176kg/mu. the stem and leaf yield is 4 137kg/mu in the milk stage. The fresh biomass above ground of Americam sweet corn,which is planted in wheat stub field and harvested in the leginny of October,is 3868. 6kg/mu. The total suger content is 22. 46 - 27. 36% in the dry matter, the coarsc protein content (cpc) is 11. 78%. The cpc of straw harvested in the milk stage is 8. 39 ％. It can be used as hoth silage and fresh forage,and livestockes like to eat. Therefore,It has a big developing promise as both econornical crop and forage crop
