素质教育是一种旨在促进人的素质发展、提高人的素质发展质量和水平的教育活动。它首先是一种教育活动,人的素质是一个以人的社会实践特别是以劳动为基础的教育过程、社会过程和历史过程综合运动的结果。素质教育是一种教育思想,一种教育理念,而不是一套具体的教育方案,应具有时代特征。
Quality education aims at promoting man＇s quality development,improving man＇s quality. It＇s a kind of activity. First it＇s a kind of education activity. Man＇s quality is the result of comprehensive motion of education process, social process, and history process based on man＇s social practice, especially based on labor. Quality education is a kind of education thoughts, a kind of education idea, not a set of concrete education scheme. It should have the features of the age.
