摘要
对大学英语测试中男女语言能力差异的研究发现,男女生的总成绩成边际性差异,对男生成绩预测最强的是阅读和听力,对女生成绩预测最强的是阅读和完型。在英语测试中,应减少性别差异对测试的影响,并加强对试题效度的检验和研究,减少除语言因素外的其他因素对考生成绩的影响。
The study of the gender differences in English Achievement Test shows that there is marginally significant difference on total scores between male and female,and the first two predicators for males are reading comprehension and listening,while the first two for females are reading comprehension and cloze.In English Achievement Test,we should reduce the influence of gender difference on test,strengthen the examination and research of test validity and reduce the influence on students' performance except language factors.
