摘要
海明威的著名短篇小说《白象似的群山》文笔独特、寓意深刻。通过对该小说的英语原文中出现的55个代词it的回指释义的分类和分析,体会和理解海明威独特的写作技巧;同时对比中译本中对这55个代词的翻译并找出翻译过程中的缺失之处。从语言学、翻译和作品本身三者交叉之处出发,发现在翻译该小说过程中缺失和失落的精美,以期对该部小说及中文译本进行新的审视和赏析。
Hills Like White Elephant presents prominent writing features in less than two-thousand-word writing but embodies delicate and fine implication.This research,based on comparing this short fiction text and its Chinese version,analyses and classifies the anaphora resolution of pronoun it,fifty five times reappearing in the text.In so doing,the absence and loss of delicacy in translating it emerged;thus readers could appreciate and feel this remarkable short fiction from a new angle.
